Yesterday was Charlie's first school dance - the Sheridan Bandstand! He had been practicing dance moves at home and also in gym class! At first, he told me he didn't want to go to the dance, but then when we decided to invite his buddies, Jack and Acie, over beforehand for snacks so they could all go together, he was on board! The boys came over beforehand, and they were beyond wild and crazy! They played, ran around, wrestled, had snacks & we managed to take a few pics before we headed out! Moms Deb and Angie came over too so we had a glass of wine while the boys played. We then took them to the dance...it was a mad house with kids screaming and running all over the place, but the boys jumped right in. The first thing they wanted to do was the make-your-own-sundae bar so they did that and then they checked out what else there was to do there. After about 45 minutes, we decided to leave (the moms!) which was a big step, but the boys were OK with it so we headed out and went a grabbed a drink at the Grille. We had planned to leave the dance much earlier and actually have dinner, but that didn't happen so we slugged back a drink and then went back to pick them up! They had a great time & actually did some dancing!
